Leprino to build mozzarella plant in Colorado

Mozzarella cheese giant Leprino Foods Inc., Denver, expects by next fall to complete the first phase of a $270 million cheese processing facility in Greeley, Colo., according to The Denver Post. The facility will process 7 million pounds of milk per day and could triple in size (undisclosed) by 2012 on Leprino's 100-acre Greeley site.
