Raymond Extreme Environment Corrosion Package

Extreme environments demand extreme solutions. That's why Raymond Corp., Greene, N.Y., says it developed an Extreme Environment Corrosion Package (EECP) for three popular lift trucks used in food plants (including poultry, meat and fish) and cold storage facilities.

Raymond realizes that these operations require constant driving through acidic and corrosive fluids and brine. Some plants bring exposure to poultry, meat and fish refuse. In most cases, trucks also are subject to frequent washdowns and varied or quick-to-change temperatures.

Raymond's Extreme Environment Corrosion Package features highly engineered, galvanized trucks -- made from the highest grade zinc available -- complete with a unique set of protective features. It's all meant to extend truck life and reduce an operator's total cost of ownership, Raymond says.

The Extreme Environment Corrosion Package is available on Raymond's Model 102 XM 4,500-lb. capacity walkie pallet truck; its Model 8300, a 6,000-lb. capacity walkie pallet truck; and the Model 8400, a 6,000-lb. and 8,000-lb. end rider pallet truck.

Features include galvanized tractor frame, bumper and battery box; sealed ball bearings for load wheels, waterproof electrical metal connectors and splashguards; galvanized pull rods, trail fork, pivot blocks and connecting links; stainless steel or nickel plated load wheel pins; and composite bushings. -- Raymond Corp.
