Aseptic Screw Cap

Tetra Pak Inc., Vernon Hills, Ill., provides more functionality for consumers and increases brand space for customers with its latest innovation—the Tetra Brik AsepticTetra Pak cap for milk 1000 Mid LightCap 24.

Designed to deliver increased consumer functionality with optimized pouring performance, the package has a two-step opening with barrier protection for a wide range of products, including oxygen-sensitive drinks such as value-added milk, juices and nectars, still drinks and wine, ensuring that the product is safe, secure and fresh. In addition, the new carton package features a pull ring, which gives even more security for consumers, as it clearly demonstrates whether the carton has been previously opened.

The LightCap 24 uses a combination of pre-laminated hole and direct injection molding concept technologies. The new carton package also meets the benchmark for pallet efficiency, with six layers stacked on pallet. This enables customers to distribute the same number of liters per pallet vs. five from its previous package.

The Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 Mid LightCap 24 also increases the number of packages produced per hour to from 6,000 to 8,000 packages.

The Tetra Brik Aseptic Mid LightCap 24 is scheduled for global release in March 2013.
