Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Co. expanded its Minute Maid brand to include new reduced-calorie options. Minute Maid Pure Squeezed Light No Pulp Orange Juice Beverage features 50 calories per 8-fluid-ounce serving and 50% less sugar and calories than regular orange juice. Minute Maid Light Raspberry Fruit Drink with Tea and Light Peach Fruit Drink with Tea offer a tasty splash of tea, while the new Chilled Light Mango Passion Fruit Drink is packed with mango and passionfruit. All three items boast only 15 calories per 8-fluid-ounce serving, and are packaged in clear and recyclable 59-fluid-ounce PET bottles. They can be found in the chilled section of grocery stores nationwide.


Mango Fruit Smoothies

DOLE Food Co., Westlake Village, Calif., added a Peach Mango flavor to its lineup of DOLE Fruit Smoothie Shakers. Made with frozen yogurt beads and finely-cut fruit, the Peach Mango kind delivers 100% of the daily value of vitamins B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12. Consumers simply remove from the freezer, add their favorite juice and shake for 30-45 seconds for an instant real fruit and yogurt smoothie. This and other flavors are available for a suggested retail price of $2.19 in the frozen aisle of grocery stores nationwide.


TruMoo With Less Sugar

Dallas-based Dean Foods Co. introduced a reformulation of its TruMoo brand, now containing 40% less sugar than its previous formula. TruMoo is made with pure cocoa, natural sugar and fresh white milk sourced from regional dairies around the country. In fact, one serving of TruMoo chocolate milk contains just 30 more calories than plain low-fat white milk. The original TruMoo flavor is Chocolate sold as 1% low-fat milk in retail and fat-free in schools. Depending on regional and retailer variations, other varieties include Strawberry and Vanilla, and are available in gallons, half gallons, quarts and single-serve 10-, 12-, 14- and 16-ounce bottles. TruMoo milk is also offered in school and foodservice settings in half-pint containers.


Hershey’s Dark Chocolate Milkshake

The Hershey Co., Hershey, Pa., expanded its line of single-serve milk and milkshakes with HERSHEY’S Special Dark Dark Chocolate Milkshake. HP Hood, LLC, Lynnfield, Mass., partnered with Hershey’s to launch the line of products in 2010. Available in 12-ounce single-serve plastic bottles, they can be found at retailers nationwide.


Frozen Blended Coffee

Seattle’s Best Coffee, part of Seattle-based Starbucks Corp., and specialty food manufacturer, Inventure Foods, Inc., Phoenix, teamed up to launch Seattle’s Best Coffee Frozen Coffee Blends, what is said to be the first blend-at-home frozen coffee beverage. The new line is made with high-quality 100% arabica coffee beans, and comes in Coffee Chiller, Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla and Mega Mocha flavors, available in retailer’s freezer section. Plus, each serving features 0 grams trans fats, 9 grams of sugar and 130 calories per serving. Each 8-ounce stand-up package holds a suggested retail price of $2.99-$3.49.


All-Natural Dairy Creamers

 Who said you can’t have dessert for breakfast? Nestlé’s Coffee-mate now includes a lineup of all-natural dairy creamers. Natural Bliss Low-fat Chocolate creamers feature just 20 calories and 1 gram of fat per serving. Made with milk, cream and a touch of sugar and pure natural flavor, it adds a creamy cocoa touch to any coffee.
