Bluffton Motor Works Acquires Toledo Gearmotor
Bluffton Motor Works, Bluffton, Ind., acquired Toledo Gearmotor, a manufacturer of gearmotors and gear reducers, located in Sylvania, Ohio. The wholly-owned subsidiary will now manufacture Bluffton Motor Works’ line of gearmotors in addition to its own products.
Transferring the gearmotor production will add capacity for its core motor products to the Bluffton Motor Works operation.
“We are very pleased with the immediate synergies between the two companies,” says David Nussear, president of Bluffton Motor Works. “There are several parts that we are outsourcing now, which Toledo Gearmotor can produce for us. They have a state-of-the-art facility with cutting-edge manufacturing technology, and their machining capabilities are excellent.”
Toledo Gearmotor is manufactures right-angle worm gear reducers, inline parallel shaft gear reducers, gearmotors, gear boxes and custom solutions for the agricultural, door and commercial industries.
