Performance Food Group, an industry-leading food and foodservice distribution company, is expanding its operations in the Pacific Northwest with the modernization of two of its cold storage facilities in Portland, Oregon.

The upgraded facilities, which total over 141,000 square feet, will enhance the company’s distribution capabilities, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality foodservice products including pizza, Italian cuisine, premium protein, seafood, non-food items and more across Oregon and Washington.

The project involves the renovation of two existing facilities to include 82,741 square feet of ambient storage, more than 30,000 square feet of freezer space, and over 20,000 square feet of cooler space, with temperatures ranging from 34 degrees Fahrenheit to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Additional features will include a CO₂ refrigeration system, a 15,534-square-foot office, 3,000-amp electrical service, 13 dock positions, and 32-foot clear height.

With more than 40 projects completed together nationwide, ARCO has successfully delivered over five million square feet of space to support Performance Food Group’s growing operations.

“Partnering with Performance Food Group on this project to enhance services in the Pacific Northwest is a true reflection of our shared commitment to growth and adaptability,” said Brian Westre, vice president at ARCO National Construction. “We take great pride in supporting clients as they expand their businesses and ensure our solutions not only meet their current needs but also position them for long-term success as their operations grow and evolve. We look forward to the successful completion of this project for the PFG team.”

Performance Food Group will remain fully operational within both facilities throughout the renovation.
