Gifford’s Adds 3 New Pint Flavors
Following 2023 fire, the family-owned processor is boosting capacity as it opens a new manufacturing facility.

Gifford’s has added three new pint flavors now available at participating Hannaford Supermarkets and select independent grocers throughout Maine and New England.
Gifford’s Ice Cream is kicking off spring with more scoops to love. The Maine-based, family-owned ice cream maker has expanded its pint lineup with three new flavors now available in grocery store freezers.
The new pint flavors arrive as Gifford’s continues to invest in its future, now operating from a new, state-of-the-art production facility following a 2023 fire. The upgraded facility allows the fifth-generation, family-owned company to increase capacity, enhance efficiency, and continue delivering the high-quality ice cream fans know and love.
Building on the success of its pint lineup, which debuted in 2024, Gifford’s has added three new pint flavors now available at participating Hannaford Supermarkets and select independent grocers throughout Maine and New England.
- Cereal and Cream: Creamy vanilla ice cream packed with crunchy malted barley cereal nuggets. Formerly known to fans as the beloved Grape-Nuts flavor, this favorite is now reimagined in pint form with a new name.
- Scream for Cake: Cake batter ice cream layered with pieces of cake, rainbow sprinkles, and blue buttercream frosting—every scoop is a celebration.
- White Pistachio: Smooth, creamy pistachio ice cream made with real pistachios in every bite—no shells required.
“With our new production facility fully operational, we’re excited to continue growing,” said Lindsay Skilling, CEO of Gifford’s Ice Cream. “Expanding our pint lineup allows us to bring even more of our flavors to our fans across New England, while staying true to the quality, creativity, and family traditions that have defined Gifford’s for generations. We’re always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers, and these new flavors are a fun reflection of that.”
These new flavors join existing offerings including Banana Caramel Coconut, Cookie Curveball, Double Dough, Passion Fruit Mango Sorbet, Reverse Chocolate Chip, Salted Vanilla Toffee, Spicy Strawberry Pretzel and Wild Blueberry Cheesecake.
With the new pint flavors now in grocery store freezers, Gifford’s is also getting ready to scoop up another season at its family-owned stands in Bangor, Skowhegan, and Waterville.
In addition to enjoying new scoops at the stands, fans can now order their favorite treats for home delivery. Guests of the three family-owned locations can order online through each stand’s page on the website or through DoorDash.
