Peter Upton-Rowley was named logistics engineer of WOW Logistics, a third-party logistics provider based in Appleton, Wis.

Upton-Rowley joined the company in June 2003, and over the past nine years has immersed himself in a range of positions, such as warehouse forklift operator before transitioning into an operations coordinator/customer service role and ultimately distribution center manager.

Meanwhile, Jamie Hess was appointed operations engineer, bringing eight years of engineering experience within the warehousing and logistics industry. Prior to coming to WOW Logistics, Hess was manager of supply chain engineering and parcel operations for Genco and engineering solutions director for LeSaint Logistics.

Together, they will focus on facility design and layout, equipment specifications, IT functionality, manpower planning, developing pricing models, overseeing customer on-boarding requirements and project planning and implementation.

“I couldn't be more pleased with this dual announcement," says Howard Kamerer, president and CEO. "Jamie brings a wealth of external industry experience to WOW Logistics that will serve our mission to understand the needs and challenges of our client base while delivering solutions to satisfy them efficiently and effectively. Peter brings a tremendous amount of operational and process experience, coupled with tremendous analytical skills to his new position, providing continuity to the overall effort."
