Meat & Poultry Briefs: Meat industry media reported that Daniel Feinberg has assumed the posts of president and CEO at Dakota Beef LLC, an organic beef processor in Howard, S.D. Feinberg replaces Chief Operating Officer Richard Morris, who resigned for personal reasons. . . . Chicken processor Peco Foods Inc., Tuscaloosa, Ala., named Benny Bishop as chief operating officer, according to TuscaloosaNews.com. Peco also named Bobby Wilburn director of commodity sales and marketing. Gary Brown was named director of prepared food sales and marketing. . . . Hormel Foods Corp., Austin, Minn., announced the retirement of Larry Pfeil, vice president of engineering, effective April 17, 2009. Hormel said James Schroeder will succeed Pfeil in the same post. James Mino also was promoted to director of engineering.
