SUPPLIER SHORTS: Looking to increase its Northeast distribution, edible oils supplier Bunge North America, St. Louis, said it purchased the assets of Mid-Atlantic Vegetable Shortening Inc., a Kearny, N.J., supplier of liquid oils, shortenings, margarines, hydrated garlic and spice products to wholesale bakeries and food processors. Bunge said it will retain most employees as well as Mid-Atlantic founders Calvin and Perry Theobald . . . Stellar, a Jacksonville, Fla., design, engineering, construction and mechanical services firm, said it joined Rockwell Automation's "Solution Provider" program. Rockwell, Milwaukee, Wis., supplies industrial automation power, control and information technologies. Stellar has been an integrator of Rockwell technologies since 2000. Officials say Rockwell's Solution Provider program gives Stellar expanded access to Rockwell's broader products, services and tools.
