Citing excess capacity in the fresh sausage industry, restaurant operator and sausage processorBob Evans Farms Inc., Columbus, Ohio, said it will close its Galva, Ill., sausage plant, effective immediately.
The operation has employed about 70 people. Bob Evans said it will redistribute production volume among four remaining facilities in Xenia and Bidwell, Ohio; Hillsdale, Mich.; and Richardson, Texas.
