Primus Builders, Woodstock, Ga., completed design and construction services on an expansion/renovation project at Sysco’s Columbia, S.C., facility, which allows Primus Sysco test kitchenthe food distributor to offer menu planning, food tasting and other hands-on services to existing and future clients.

Features include:

• Business review area, including test kitchens with state-of-the-art equipment on a new mezzanine.

• Freezer space with mini-load, cooler space modifications (ice cream -20° inside existing; main freezer 0°, dock 38°).

• Refrigerated dock space.

• Upgrades to the freight elevator and existing stairs.

• Expanded gravel truck lot.

• Site improvements.

Construction occurred while the existing facility remained fully operational to ensure no delays in production.
