Yogurt with Protein…for Kids
General Mills, Minneapolis, introduced new Yoplait Go-GURT Protein.
Each tube has 5 grams of protein per 2.25-ounce serving—which is said to be two times the protein of the leading kids' yogurt.
"Moms want protein for their kids, but to give it to them in a fun way that they can enjoy," says Ashley Karr, Yoplait Kids associate marketing manager. "We are also excited that all our Yoplait products contain no high-fructose corn syrup. We listened to our consumers and acted."
Go-GURT Protein contains no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners and has at least 10% daily value of vitamin A and D. They come in Strawberry Superstar/Mighty Fruit Punch and Berry Extreme/Burstin' Berry Lemonade varieties and are available in the Northeast, North and Mid-Atlantic and Central Northeast for a suggested retail price of $2.99 per 8-pack.
