Ajinomoto builds frozen noodle plant
Ajinomoto North America, Inc., Fort Lee, N.J., strengthened its North America frozen foods business by building a frozen noodle production plant.
Ajinomoto Toyo Frozen Noodles Inc. (ATFN), a frozen noodle production company established in April 2015 by the Ajinomoto Group and Toyo Suisan Kaisha, Ltd., will produce frozen noodles centered on Japanese-style ramen for U.S. foodservice. The plant is scheduled to start operation in July 2016.
The current lineup of Asian frozen foods centers on products such as gyoza, spring rolls and fried rice.
