Provisur Technologies, Inc., Chicago, acquired select assets of both AMFE  B.V., the Netherlands, and BFD (Better Food Development) Corp., Englewood, Colo.

AMFE is a leading producer of advanced press-type separation equipment used primarily in beef and pork applications.

BFD Corp. provides all sales, application expertise, installation and aftermarket support for AMFE equipment in North America.

Provisur will combine the activities of BFD and AMFE into its existing separation business unit led by vice president Olivier Kerdiles. John Shook, founder and former owner of BFD, will remain directly involved in the North American market and in the expanding distribution of the Bone Cannon in markets around the globe.

“These acquisitions expand Provisur’s lineup of separation equipment, which includes Beehive and AM2C rotary separators,” says Kerdiles. “The Bone Cannon is an important addition to our separation portfolio, as it extends our capabilities beyond poultry and fish to beef and pork applications.”

“These important acquisitions are consistent with Provisur’s long range strategic plan, and will help fuel our company’s continued global growth,” adds Mel Cohen, Provisur’s CEO.
