HIGH-SPEED BAG LOADER
The Cryovac BL75 is a fully automatic high-speed bag loader designed for dairy and smoked and processed meats. The automatic advancing and opening of taped bags and a high-speed belt that inserts product into the opened bag eliminates the repetitive and labor-intensive process of loading product into bags. The bag loader also features the Sealed Air Food Care Cryovac packaging system, which includes a bag loader, rotary vacuum chamber, shrink tunnel and proprietary Cryovac Oxygen Barrier shrink bag. Additional features include flexibility in production, quick-change tooling for various product sizes and shapes, full washdown capability with stainless-steel construction and achieves up to 45 PPM.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC CARTON ACCUMULATOR
WSI Global’s EdgePack is a semi-automatic carton accumulator that is said to increase production speed and worker safety over manual case packing. The EdgePack is situated after a folder/gluer in a carton converting line, where it turns the folded and glued carton shingle onto the folded edge. The EdgePack maintains the counted kick and lines cartons up for tray or slipsheet case packing, all while eliminating the repetitive wrist motion required by packers. Designed to handle small- to mid-sized straight line variety cartons, EdgePack relies on belts to move cartons, eliminating any scratching or printing disruption, and can increase production speed up to 30%.

SANITARY WASHDOWN FLOW WRAPPER
Cavanna Packaging Group introduced a new sanitary design and caustic washdown flow wrapper and flow wrapping system. This system can be washed down quickly with caustic foaming chemicals and a warm water rinse. Designed specifically for food plants that produce meat, dairy or frozen foods, this system can be cleaned in place or completely disassembled without tools in a matter of minutes. Plus, the system’s ground-up design follows the American Meat Institute (AMI) guidelines for sanitary construction.

SHRINK WRAP SYSTEM FOR DAIRY INDUSTRY
Polypack introduced a new series of shrink wrap systems for the dairy industry. These shrink wrap systems automatically collate tapered cups, load them onto pads and shrink wrap them without the use of glue. By using pick-and-place technology to build the pack, Polypack completely eliminates the glue and all associated operations (no re-filling, purging or cleanup). This system shrinks up to 24 pad packs per minute with single or multi-layer capability and bottom, middle and top pad combinations for round or sqround containers.
