Home » Americold acquires additional temperature-controlled facility
Americold, Atlanta, concluded the purchase of the temperature-controlled storage facility at 5711 FM 78 in San Antonio, Texas, adding another state-of-the-art food distribution center to its growing network. The building is operated as a food distribution center, and is currently under a long-term lease to a retail client.
“Americold is very excited to be adding a second San Antonio facility to our organization—extending our company’s standing as the leading owner-operator of temperature-controlled infrastructure in the world,” says Fred Boehler, president and CEO. “We’re always looking for strategic opportunities to enhance our network, and the location of this facility—on the north east side of San Antonio, close to the I-35, I-10 and I-410 interchanges—is ideal.”
