Long-time JAXPORT executive Eric Green was hired as chief executive officer. Green, appointed interim CEO in March, joined the port in 2005, and previously served as senior director, government and external affairs, leading the effort to gain authorization and funding to start the Jacksonville Harbor Deepening project. Prior to joining JAXPORT, Green served in numerous leadership roles for Jacksonville, including deputy chief administrative officer, where he managed several city departments and was instrumental in the development, passage and implementation of the $2 billion Better Jacksonville Plan.
Chicken Farmers of Canada, Canada Michael Laliberté was selected as the incoming executive director, effective Oct. 2, replacing Mike Dungate, who has held the role for over 20 years. Laliberté maintains 26 years' experience at Chicken Farmers of Canada, most recently as director of operations, where he managed the finance unit, the human resources and administration unit and the information systems within the market information and systems unit. He has been serving as the second in command to the executive director, and has provided leadership and strategy on the financial affairs to support the executive management team, the finance committee and the board of directors.
