Refrigerated nutrition bars
Nutrition bars just got vegg’ed with Phyter Bars, what are said to be the first products in the category made with farm-fresh vegetables and/or fruit as the No. 1 ingredient.
Produced by Healthful Habits, LLC, West Chicago, each bar contains pureed (never dehydrated) produce and other whole food ingredients to deliver a snack that’s 100% organic, sweetened with low-glycemic coconut sugar, vegan, kosher and completely free of GMOs, gluten, soy, dairy, chemicals, preservatives, and added oils and fats.
The name comes from the phytonutrients inside (the natural chemicals in vegetables).
Phyters come in Sweet Potato + Coconut, Butternut Squash + Peanut Butter, Cranberry + Strawberry and Beets + Cocoa varieties, with a Kale + Apple variety to be added later this year.
Phyters are sold in the refrigerated section, and can be stored fresh, refrigerated or frozen at least seven days in the sealed wrapper.
