Main Street Capital Holdings, LLC, Pittsburgh, Pa., acquired W&W Dairy, LLC, a private label producer of Hispanic cheeses.
W&W Dairy produces Queso Fresco, Cotija, Quesadilla, Panela and other cheese varieties out of its state-of-the-art headquarters manufacturing facility in Monroe, Wis.
As a result, Franz Hofmeister was named president and CEO of W&W Dairy, immediately following the acquisition.
“I an extremely excited about the opportunity to lead W&W Dairy,” says Hofmeister. “W&W is a highly agile producer of premium quality cheese products that operates out of a modern facility with plenty of room for expansion. We’re looking forward to growing the company by strengthening our partnerships with our customers and quickly developing innovative new products and packaging options.”
“We’re thrilled to add W&W Dairy to the Main Street portfolio,” says Ryan Davis, managing partner at Main Street. “This is our second investment in the Hispanic cheese industry, and we’re looking forward to working closely with Franz Hofmeister in a space where we both have a lot of experience. We will fully support Franz as he builds out the team and make sure they have the resources needed to grow and expand.”
