Vision Produce expands Phoenix, AZ warehouse, transportation center
The 35,000-square-foot warehouse consists of a 20,000-square-foot cooler space divided into seven coolers with automatic independent temperature control.
Vision Produce, Los Angeles, announced plans to expand its Phoenix, Ariz., warehouse and transportation center.
“Our Phoenix facility over the last several years has developed a streamlined re-pack operation, sustainable energy additions and near-perfect food safety scores,” says Donald Souther, senior vice president of sales and marketing. We see a growing need for storage, cross dock, re-pack and distribution in the Phoenix area, as new products continually inundate the grocery industry.”
The 35,000-square-foot warehouse consists of a 20,000-square-foot cooler space divided into seven coolers with automatic independent temperature control (from 30-50°F).
This Primus GSF-certified facility also offers a staging area for order set up, multiple dock doors for shipping and receiving and a re-pack facility capable of hand sorting most product lines.
Plus, the solar panels installed on the rooftop supply 58% of total electricity demand.
