FILM CUTTER DESIGN FOR SHRINK WRAP MACHINES
Douglas Machine announced a new film cutter design for its Contour 80-Series and 105-Series shrink wrap machines. The new design increases operating tolerances, thus diminishing uncut film errors and minimizing effects of uneven film tension/thickness and film delivery errors.

COMPACT STRETCH WRAPPER
Signode Industrial Group launched the new Octopus Compact 20 / Compact TSi series, a new design that provides optimal load containment while optimizing the film usage in today’s warehouses and distribution centers. Leveraging the original Octopus design and ring technology, the new Octopus Compact 20 / Compact TSi series enables bottom-to-top or top-to-bottom automatic rotary ring stretch wrapping. And, its compact and durable aluminum frame construction requires minimal assembly. The new machine comes fully equipped with Muller’s patented Easy S Film Carriage, which enables simple film loading, maximizes pre-stretch performance and minimizes wear.

PALLETIZER FOR SMALL PACKAGES, END-AISLE DISPLAY PALLETS
Packagers looking to reduce their corrugated consumption can now automatically palletize small packages and build end-aisle display pallets with the Model 72A palletizer from A-B-C Packaging Machine. This palletizer features a custom infeed that orients, collates and feeds the product to the stainless-steel staging table to ensure smooth product transfer. After the sweep-bar guides the layer to the pallet stack, each layer is tightened and squared by A-B-C’s exclusive 4-side squaring device that ensures a secure, cohesive layer.

VERTICAL INDOOR DISTRIBUTED REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Hillphoenix introduced new InviroPak Vertical Indoor Distributed Refrigeration System to be used as a central system for smaller stores or a distributed system for larger retail stores. Used as a distributed system by larger format stores, InviroPak can be located closer to the loads to reduce refrigerant and piping costs. For smaller footprint supermarkets, it serves as a central system, allowing the retailer to handle all of the store refrigeration requirements with one system. InviroPak’s small footprint eliminates the need for a separate mechanical room inside the store. The compressor section is isolated and can be easily accessed during operation, while a smart design makes it easy to maintain internal components. For example, hinged doors on compressor and electrical sections coupled with removable doors on all sides allow quick and easy access. It is available in multiple sizes and forklift pockets.
CARTON & CASE PACKER FOR FITMENT, SPOUTED POUCHES
Delkor Systems debuted the VC Series Case Packer, a new robotic case packer that combines FANUC IR Vision Robotics and Delkor’s own linear-servo equipped 3-axis gantry to enable high-speed, automated case and carton packing of spouted pouches, fitment pouches and other single-serve pouch products. The VC Series is configurable to pack pouches into multiple secondary packaging styles, including cartons, retail-ready cases and standard “brown box” shipping cases. The VC Series is engineered to pack spouted pouches both on-edge and lay-flat pack-out at speeds up to 250 products per minute. Using FANUC iRVision technology, the VC Series can pick pouches from the infeed belt while pouches lay in different orientations, eliminating the need to reorient pouches upstream. With linear-servo line tracking, the machine’s reach and payload can handle the latest packaging requirements, including deep cartons and shelf-ready solutions.
COMPACT SCISSOR LIFT
Presto ECOA Lifts manufactured CLT Series Compact Scissor Lifts, which are high-performance, industrial-duty lifts available in a wide range of capacities, including 2,000-6,000 pounds. Ideal for a wide variety of work positioning, assembly, repair and inspection applications in manufacturing facilities, warehouses, repair shops and more, CLT Series lifts employ a double scissor mechanism that allows for a collapsed height of 8.5 inches while providing raised heights of up to 56.5 inches. Lifting control is via a hand pendant or foot switch that operates a ¾ HP motor and runs on 115V single-phase power of 208/230/460V 3 phase power. Features include cylinders with internal stops, self-lubrication, PTFE-lined composite bearings, retained base and platform rollers and safety restraint maintenance bars.

AUTOMATED LIFT TRUCK STACKER WITH VISION-GUIDED TECHNOLOGY
The Raymond Corp. launched Raymond Courier 3030 stacker, a next-generation automated lift truck stacker that utilizes vision-guided technology from Seegrid, and combines horizontal transport and vertical pallet lift. Ideal for handling and transporting products between connected manufacturing and warehouse facilities, the Courier 3030 stacker automated lift truck is designed to automate stacking from pick to delivery locations. With a second-level vertical reach capability up to 72 inches and a weight capacity of 2,500 pounds, the automated stacker is ideal for pickup/drop-off, end-of-aisle and end-of-line applications, as well as conveyor picking. The Courier 3030 stacker also transports different pallet sizes and types. Additionally, the reverse-motion and auto-engagement functions optimize workflow and increase productivity, helping warehouses work better and more efficiently. With the help of the Courier 3030 stacker, workflow is shared between man and machine.

WAREHOUSE CONTROL SYSTEM
MHS combined a fully customizable warehouse control system (WCS) with an intuitive HMI and distributed controls architecture to enable efficient management of complex automated systems in refrigerated and frozen food operations.
