Mosaic Foods, the plant-centric frozen meal company based in Brooklyn, adds to their lineup today with a brand-new breakfast line. Six Oat Bowls join the brand’s growing collection, bringing protein-packed sweet and savory breakfast options to your freezer with creative ingredients, from Golden Milk & Blackberry to Sundried Tomato and ‘Everything’.

Earlier this year, founders Matt Davis and Sam McIntire tapped Chef Christine Malanga, formerly of Pret a Manger and The Food Network, to help expand their collection of meals.  In her recipe development, Malanga has continued to evolve the brand’s approach to healthy, homemade globally-inspired bowls.

The new oat bowls begin with steel cut owls and quinoa, with many layers of texture and color in the bowls to create a filling meal – and each meal is packed with at least 10g of protein per serving.  The new breakfast bowls include:

  • Golden Milk & Blackberry with Pistachios
  • Peanut Butter, Banana and Cacao
  • Cranberry Cinnamon
  • Veggie Sausage and Gouda
  • Shiitake Ginger
  • Sundried Tomato and ‘Everything’

Mosaic offers the convenience of a heat-and-eat meal that follows strict clean label standards. Prepared in a chef’s kitchen, meals are immediately frozen to retain their nutrition and can be easily warmed in the microwave in under 5 minutes.

Mosaic also makes it easy to follow a plant-based diet by offering more than ten vegan and dairy-free bowls. Their current line-up of meals includes veggie-packed risottos, noodles and curries, and more, with bestsellers including Ginger Sesame Noodles, Chipotle Mango Burrito Bowl and Yellow Dal Curry. Chef Malanga recently introduced three new meals: Jerk Lentils and Plantain, Coconut Chickpea Curry and Creamy Pesto Cavatappi.

Mosaic can easily be ordered from their website ($4.99 for breakfast bowls and $8.99 for veggie bowls) with expanded shipping now available throughout the Northeast.  For every meal sold, Mosaic works with the non-profit City Harvest to rescue two pounds of nutritious food and donate it to New Yorkers in need.
