Groundbreaking has started on Houston ColdPort, a 315,101-square-foot speculative cold storage warehouse in Houston, Texas. Houston ColdPort will feature a 50-foot clear height warehouse, a 60-foot-deep cold dock, 38 dock positions with vertical storing hydraulic dock leveler equipment, LED lighting throughout, a Tyco Quell dry fire sprinkler system, a 200-foot-deep truck court with 57 trailer parking spaces and ample automobile parking. Houston ColdPort can accommodate a single tenant or can be demised for a two-tenant layout.
Cold Creek Solutions (CCS) has announced a second project in the state of Texas, this time in San Antonio. The roughly 305,000-square-foot facility will provide storage for 45,000 pallets of frozen or refrigerated products upon completion. Unlike existing vintage facilities and other new builds in the region, this new project, designed by ARCO National Construction, will allow for efficient large-scale or multi-operator build-out. CCS anticipates breaking ground this fall, with the facility scheduled to open in late 2022.

Cacique, a leading privately-owned Hispanic foods company and maker of the #1 brand of authentic Mexican-style cheeses, cremas and chorizos in the U.S., officially broke ground on an $88 million dairy processing facility in Amarillo, Texas. The new 200,000 square-foot facility will help meet the growing demand for Cacique's high-quality products nationwide. The company is planning to begin operation at the new facility in the fall of 2022 and expects to create approximately 200 new full-time jobs.
Sadler’s Smokehouse is introducing a line of ready-to-eat beef brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken and St. Louis Ribs at select retailers this summer. The new line of Sadler’s Smokehouse products is pit-smoked low and slow, using butcher-quality cuts of meat, no artificial ingredients, Texas hardwoods and 65 years of family barbeque tradition.
Cuisine Solutions has opened its new $200 million facility in San Antonio. The location brings a level of innovation and technology even higher than their other global facilities and will enable the company to meet increased demand for their sous vide products for foodservice providers, restaurants, airlines, hotels, and retail businesses.
Cold Creek Solutions is building a 374,560-square-foot cold storage facility in Denton, north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The company has leased nearly 50% of its facility after executing a 15-year agreement with third-party logistics provider, Southwest Warehouse Services.

Strategically situated on the I-10 Corridor, the project in Seguin, Texas, will have the ability to service both Austin and San Antonio within less than a one-hour drive, as well as the Houston ports and the US-Mexico border in less than a three-hour drive in either direction.
Blackline Cold Storage has broken ground at the site of their new 298,000-square-foot cold storage facility to be owned in partnership with Artemis Real Estate Partners at the Port of Houston, Texas. The facility will provide approximately 70 new jobs to the area when the first phase of construction is complete on the 36-acre site in TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park.

Sysco and Cargill, two of the world's largest food companies, announced a partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) that will help ranchers in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas and Colorado tackle the impacts of climate change and improve grasslands and wildlife habitat by creating one of the largest sustainable beef cattle grazing efforts in the nation.
