The Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA), Marietta, Ga., is working toward “Advancing & Safeguarding the Refrigerated Foods Industry” through its 39th annual conference, which will take place Feb. 17-20 at the Marriott Waterside Hotel in Tampa, Fla.
High-pressure processing can streamline efficiency on the production line, providing energy- and utility-savings that help companies meet their sustainability goals.
The 2018 NFRA Convention consists of one-on-one business meetings with more than 1,200 retailers, manufacturers, sales agents, logistics providers and suppliers—all in one place.
According to the study, 78% of retailers have a favorable view of HPP.

As demand for fresh food grows, more retailers are stocking their shelves with foods and beverages that have been high-pressure processed (HPP) to help ensure food safety, food quality and eliminate food waste, according to a new survey released by Universal Pure, Villa Rica, Ga.
The Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA) works toward “Advancing & Safeguarding the Refrigerated Foods Industry” through events such as its 38th annual conference, which will take place March 4-7 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, Calif.
These “unconventional” acquisitions created a shock-and-awe effect through the industry by placing processors in other parts of the retail space, expanding their logistics network and indefinitely changing the future of the cold food and beverage industry.

As retailers prepare for consumers to migrate toward online platforms for packaged goods, fresh offerings in the perimeter are playing a key role in attracting shoppers to brick-and-mortar, according to the Q3 2017 edition of the FreshFacts on Retail report, produced by United Fresh Produce Association, Washington, D.C.
The 2017 HPP Summit will feature a wide variety of speakers, panels and educational breakout sessions relevant to food manufacturers, retailers, foodservice providers, packagers and other companies in the food supply chain that are currently or considering taking advantage of HPP.
