The market is driven by factors such as increasing consumption of packaged foods, growing ready-to-cook meat production, government assistance toward developing food technologies and widening applicability of HPP equipment.

The Diamond State Port Corp. (DSPC), Wilmington, Del., and The Chemours Co., also of Wilmington, Del., announced an agreement for the Port of Wilmington to purchase the former Chemours Edgemoor site on Hay Road, located to the north of the port’s existing facility, for $10 million.
CarGoldMex is starting to pack broccoli at the new facility, and will process various other fruits and vegetables, including asparagus, bell peppers and strawberries at different times throughout the year.
