Longbow Advantage Named ’23 Logistics Provider of the Year

Congratulations to Longbow Advantage, our 2023 Logistics Provider of the Year.

The company last year celebrated its 20th anniversary and over the last two decades, Longbow Advantage has assisted F&B leaders including Kraft Heinz, PepsiCo, Schreiber Foods and Driscoll’s with their warehouse operations.

The September issue also examines Miami, and what makes the world’s busiest passenger port a bustling hot spot for cold storage. We talked with PortMiami, Lineage Logistics and FreezPak to learn more about the “cargo gateway of the Americas.”

Just in time for back-to-school, the final feature of the issue looks at two cold foods processors who supply foodservice needs and convenience foods for a variety of institutions.

This issue also features an excellent column by Brian Gallagher, vice president of Corporate Development at Graycor, on managing projects in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world. First used in 1987, the term was embraced by the U.S. Army War College to describe the military challenges in a post-Soviet era. Military leaders no longer had a single enemy on which to focus but faced a multitude of threats that required new ways of thinking, seeing and reacting.

Plus the latest in frozen meals and entrées can help you decide what’s for dinner tonight.
