The taquito line offers four new flavor profiles, building on the success and popularity of the El Monterey Extra Crunchy taquito line.

Stephanie Wilkes will serve as chair of the company’s board of directors.

She will be responsible for fostering the El Monterey brand strategy and sales execution and lead the marketing and sales teams.

The move allows the company greater business opportunities and to better serve customers and manufacturing facilities in Texas, California and South Carolina. It also provides greater access to talent with important skill sets in consumer products, IT and marketing experience.

This is the third on-site health center opened by Ruiz Foods.

Current CEO Dan Antonelli will transition to the new position of executive board chair.

Ruiz Foods also opened a similar on-site clinic at the South Carolina plant in early November and has plans for another on-site clinic at the Dinuba, California in 2024.

The Ruiz Foods Health Center, operated by CareATC, will provide insured team members and their covered family members with access to primary care. 

The 150,000-square-foot addition will help meet demand for El Monterey and Tornados products.
 

The acquisition will provide Ruiz Foods with additional flexible manufacturing capacity on the West Coast.
