The Associated Press reported that Pinnacle Foods, Cherry Hill, N.J., plans this July to close the Rochester, N.Y., corporate offices of Birds Eye, which Pinnacle acquired last December. Officials said the move will result in layoffs for approximately 205 employees.

The notification was in keeping with the New York State Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, or the WARN Act. Officials said Birds Eye, a national frozen vegetable processor, employed 1,700 people nationwide in late 2009.
