Got a taste for a soup and sandwich but don't want to battle restaurant traffic? Now there's no need, according to Nestle Prepared Foods, Solon, Ohio.

Nestle says new Stouffer's Corner Bistro Stuffed Melts and Soups line is among the first in the supermarket freezercase to combine premium soups and stuffed melted sandwiches.

“As a brand with a lot of history and a category leader, it’s important to Stouffer's that we stay ahead of the curve and continue to offer our consumers new and exciting dining options,” says Brett White, Stouffer's director of marketing. “These satisfying Stuffed Melts and Soups feature on-trend flavor combinations and high quality ingredients you’d expect to find at a local café. We are very excited to bring this classic combo to consumers to enjoy at work or at home.”

Stuffed Melt sandwich varieties are Three Cheese & Ham, Steak & Swiss and Chicken Bacon Ranch. Nestle says its complementary restaurant-inspired soups include premium ingredients, such as vine-ripened tomatoes and real cream. Stouffer's Stuffed Melts and Soups varieties also include such ingredients as herb-topped focaccia bread, Swiss cheese, white meat chicken, onions, mushrooms, bacon, and steak.

Items carry a suggested retail price of $3.89. Varieties include:

Three Cheese & Ham Stuffed Melt with Creamy Tomato Bisque: Herb-topped focaccia bread filled with ham and three cheeses paired with creamy vine-ripened tomato bisque;

Steak & Swiss Stuffed Melt with Broccoli  Cheddar Soup: Herb-topped focaccia bread filled with steak, onions and mushrooms in a Swiss cheese sauce paired with creamy broccoli and cheddar cheese soup;

Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Melt with Baked Potato Soup: Herb-topped focaccia bread filled with white meat chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese and a buttermilk Ranch sauce paired with creamy loaded baked potato soup.
