As a young man, Berkowitz worked side-by-side with his father, George, selling fish at the family fish market in Cambridge’s Inman Square neighborhood. The fish market spawned a small seafood restaurant which eventually became one of the most prominent seafood restaurants in the country, Legal Sea Foods. When the pandemic hit, and with families spending more time at home, Berkowitz was inspired to help people enjoy delicious fish and seafood restaurant favorites in the comfort of their residences.
