Unlike brands like Impossible Meat or Beyond Meat, which make plant-based meat alternatives, Actual Veggies prides itself on creating veggie burgers that are made with, well, actual veggies.
The brand has experienced hockey-stick growth recently, including an expansion from Whole Foods to Costco and completing a $7 million Series A raise.
The brand is now expanding into the refrigerated section at Whole Foods Market for the first time, with three innovative, new flavors launching.
The lineup includes the brand’s new protein line – featuring the most protein it has ever packed into a patty:
- 18 grams protein Black-Bean Veggie Burger – bold flavor, clean ingredients and a higher-protein spin on the company’s best-seller.
- 18 grams protein Mushroom Quinoa Veggie Burger – hearty, umami-rich and protein-packed.
In addition, the lineup includes a new, innovative flavor:
- Feta Spinach Veggie Burger – made with real dairy cheese.
Each variety features two 1/4-pound, “thick-cut” patties, which are crafted with premium, real ingredients and no fillers. Designed for versatility and performance, these burgers hold their shape and flavor, whether grilled, pan-seared or air-fried.
