Wells Enterprises Recalls Ice Creams for Potential Plastic

Wells Enterprises, makers of ice cream and frozen novelties including the Blue Bunny and Halo Top brands, issued a voluntary recall of nearly two dozen flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt.
The nationwide Class II recall includes 22 flavors, sold in 3-gallon containers, according to the FDA Enforcement report. In total, about 18,000 containers of product were recalled for potentially containing plastic pieces.
The recalled products have “Best If Used By” dates ranging from March to October 2026.
Wells Enterprises, Inc. is the largest privately held ice cream manufacturer in the United States. Founded in 1913, the company produces more than 200 million gallons of ice cream per year and distributes products in all 50 states.
