Hain UK's frozen biz earns award
The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., Melville, N.Y., said Hain Frozen Foods UK received a prestigious Eastern Daily Press Business Development Award.
Officials say The Eastern Daily Press (EDP) covers the United Kingdom's Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire regions. The publication's annual Business Awards showcase the achievement of individual companies and the regions' economic strength and depth, says Hain.
EDP cited Hain Frozen Foods UK for a dramatic turnaround during the last 18 months with new management and investment in the facility, along with new products and packaging. Officials say the Hain Celestial Frozen Foods Fakenham facility produces Linda McCartney brand frozen vegetarian products and other frozen meat-free products and dessert lines.
Since 2008, Hain Celestial UK also has been selected for The Sunday Times' Best Green Companies Awards.
"Commercially and operationally, we have delivered beyond my expectations. The team has much to be proud of and without our dedicated workforce and the continued support of our owner, Hain Celestial, this award would not have been possible," said David Matwij, managing director, Hain Frozen Foods UK Ltd. "Let's look forward to the years ahead and build upon our successes."
