Dairy cooperative Foremost Farms USA, Baraboo, Wis., is "in the early stages of project planning" to expand and possibly double capacity at its Appleton, Wis., shredded cheese plant, according to a report by Industrial Info Resources, Sugar Land, Texas.

Foremost says the Appleton facility currently produces about 60 million pounds of shredded mozzarella cheeses each year for foodservice and industrial (pizza processor) customers.
