Execs on the move at Michael Foods, Smucker
EXECS ON THE MOVE
James Dwyer Jr. was hired as president and CEO at Michael Foods Inc., a Minnetonka, Minn., processor of refrigerated and frozen potato products, specialty eggs, cheese, sandwiches and other foods.
Dwyer, 51, had recently been employed by Ahold USA as executive vice president, Private Brands and E-Commerce. He also served as chief business development officer for Stop and Shop Cos., a subsidiary of Ahold. Michael Foods Chairman Gregg Ostrander had served as president and CEO since April 2009. With Dwyer's appointment, the company said Ostrander will assume his prior position of executive chairman.
Michael Foods is a multinational producer and distributor of food products to the foodservice, retail and food-ingredient markets.
The J.M. Smucker Company, Orrville, Ohio, said it promoted Mark Belgya to senior vice president and chief financial officer. Dennis J. Armstrong was promoted to senior vice president, supply chain logistics and operations support.
Smucker's product portfolio includes Uncrustables frozen sandwiches and Europe's Best frozen fruit and vegetables.
