INTERMITTENT MOTION TRAY LOADER-FORMER

Polypack’s new intermittent motion tray loader-former runs at speeds up to 20 trays per minute. The TR-20 is completely servo-driven, which drastically reduces changeover time and allows for precise product control. It comes in a variety of product collation modules, and can be combined with a Polypack shrink wrapper for a single-source solution that delivers pallet-ready packs.

SERVO GLUE CARTON FORMER

Bradman Lake’s latest introduction includes the HSS300 all servo glue carton former, which is capable of speeds up to 300 cartons or trays per minute. This HSS all servo carton former can erect cartons and trays using hot melt glue or four corner lock. It utilizes a servo-powered reciprocating “shuttle” method of feeding the carton blanks into the forming tool. Carton types include 3-flap closure, single-flap closure with dust flaps, hooded lid closure, turn-over end style and turn-over end style with frame view.

MULTI-OUTLET FORMING MACHINE

NuTEC Manufacturing’s NuTec 745 is an all-hydraulic, microprocessor-controlled, multi-outlet forming machine that’s easy to maneuver plant-wide. Built tough without the cumbersome weight and size of similar machines, the 745 combines accurate weight control and quick changeovers with mobility. A NuTEC vane pump feed system uses a rotating spiral to gently move product to the rotor, eliminating overworking, bridging and backflow. The 745 vane pump feeds directly to the mold plate cavity and can portion up to 11,700 patties per hour. Processors can also portion beef, pork, poultry, fish, veal, lamb, cheese and vegetables. The mold plates can be changed in less than five minutes.

FORMING EQUIPMENT FOR MID-SIZED PROCESSING LINES

Provisur’s new Formax VerTex660allows for superior texture, greater versatility and exact weight portion control. Designed for mid-sized processing lines, the VerTex660offers drum speeds up to 12,000 pounds per hour. An advanced rotary drum can be cleaned without special chemicals or cleaning stations and remains free and clear throughout production. A servo knock-out system ensures excellent product placement without additional system requirements. The VerTex660also includes a dual lobe pump that ensures product movement. Plus, the 15-inch touch-screen interface offers a full range of operating and diagnostic screens in multiple languages.

CLEAN-IN-PLACE SANITARY SCREENER

A new sanitary CIP Vibroscreen Double-Deck Screener from Kason removes oversized and undersized particles from dairy products. The screener is equipped with quick-disconnect clamps between each screen frame, providing rapid interior access for inspection and screen changes. An integral CIP spray wash system employs spray nozzles strategically placed to emit cleaning solutions, rinsing solutions and/or steam for sanitizing the interior of the screening chambers without the need to open or otherwise disassemble the unit. An imbalanced weight gyratory motor affixed to the housing imparts vibration, causing oversized particles to travel across the coarse upper screen and exit through an upper discharge spout at the screen’s periphery. On-size particles falling onto the lower screen are discharged through a center discharge spout, as undersized material flows through the screen, onto a chute and through a lower discharge spout. Constructed of stainless steel with ground and polished welds, it meets 3-A, FDA and BISSC sanitary standards, as well as UL, ATEX, CSA and CE electrical standards.

POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP

Fristam’s new FL3 series positive displacement pump provides gentle, high-speed product transfer and complete CIP in one pump. The FL3 ensures a steady product stream with exceptionally gentle treatment of product. Its helix-shaped tri-wing rotary lobes reduce noise and virtually eliminate pulsation. The pump can run at high speeds for high transfer capacity and effective CIP. As a result, the FL3 eliminates the need for both a transfer and CIP pump, saving time and money.
