Romer Labs, Union, Mo., expanded its allergen portfolio to include new AgraStrip, AgraQuant F.A.S.T. and EnzymeFast test kits and Biopure allergen positive control materials.

AgraQuant F.A.S.T. is said to be the fastest allergen ELISA testing method on the market. The newly developed state-of-the-art capsule technology cuts down extraction to a minimum of only 1 minute, with results in just 31 minutes. It’s designed to detect almond, casein, egg, hazelnut, macadamia nut, peanut, cashew and mustard in food, rinse waters and environmental swabs.

The new AgraStrip Crustacea completes the lateral flow testing line. It’s designed to detect crustacea in food, rinse waters and swab samples and has been validated in a variety of soup products as well as in other products and on environmental surfaces. The AgraStrip test line provides on-site testing, which increases productivity in the lab and secures correct labelling of products.

Furthermore, the EnzymeFast lactose/D-glucose determines lactose content in enzymatically treated, lactose-free dairy products that have been enzymatically treated to decrease the lactose content and are thus labelled “lactose-free.”

Lastly, the Biopure product line now includes three new allergen positive control materials, such as peanut, egg and casein.
