GEA Westfalia Separator Group, Northvale, N.J., developed the GEA Westfalia Separator IO, which was created to reduce complexity and focus on user-friendliness.
The GEA Westfalia Separator IO aims to be as intuitive as possible. Displays are consistently streamlined, symbols are self-explanatory and the color code is based on international standards, either traffic signal colors for statuses or the standard which is used in plant construction for identifying pipework. One glance and the operator knows what is running through the centrifuge and whether the conditions are good or bad in this particular situation.
IO controls, displays and evaluates, and provides assistance to the customer with regard to optional efficiency programs. The user only needs to push a button, and the centrifuge automatically adjusts to the desired status. It also features remote capability. The operator can access the centrifuge via a tablet or smartphone. This means that the centrifuges are ready to be deployed again as quickly as possible.
