Unilever, Englewood Cliffs, N.J., announced plans to close its Clearwater, Fla., factory, laying off approximately 230 people and shifting production to plants in Tennessee and Missouri.
The frozen novelties plant will be phasing out over the coming months, and will close all together at the end of November 2014.
Theplant produces Klondike, Good Humor and Popsicle frozen treats.
