Handheld Foodservice Breakfast Sandwich
Cincinnati-based AdvancePierre Foods added the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Square Wrap to its selection of Hot ‘n’ Ready breakfast sandwiches.
This new wrap includes savory pork sausage topped with cheese and a fluffy egg omelet made with green and red bell peppers, wrapped in a soft flour tortilla, packaged in crisp, white paper and served hot from a sandwich warmer or microwaved on demand.
“Our new square wrap is anything but ‘square,’” says Tony Schroder, president of convenience channels. “Tortilla and flatbread breakfast sandwiches are a huge trend. With the fresh and savory flavor combination, retailers have a guaranteed customer-pleaser for breakfast, lunch and snack time.”
The sandwiches boast a 10-day refrigerated, 9-month frozen shelf life.
