FOSS, Eden Prairie, Minn., introduced a new cheese testing solution that provides rapid tests on fat and moisture.

DairyScanis a new analytical instrument for testing the fat and moisture content of cheese during production and at final product release.

This easy-to-use analyzer takes just 45 seconds, and helps spot “out-of-spec” production errors before they impact yield and product quality. The test involves no chemicals or disposables; the user just places the sample and pushes the start button.  

DairyScan comes with ready-to-use calibrations based on a database of over 40,000 samples. This makes for a highly robust and stable calibration that can accommodate a wide variety of samples and ensures stable high performance analysis over time.

Plus, it uses infrared technology to give optimal tests for the different sample types.
