METTLER TOLEDO CI-Vision launched the V2622 Flex-Lite, a compact smart camera-based vision solution suited for either wide-scale implementation or as an introduction to vision technology. The V2622 offers manufacturers the ability to only take the software and cameras they need. It utilizes METTLER TOLEDO smart camera software and hardware for package quality, code reading and graphical identification. Some camera models include liquid lens technology, allowing for adjustments in camera focus to be made with no moving parts, making product changeovers more reliable and efficient. The system comes in multiple configurations ranging from a single smart camera and patch panel to a two camera system with a dedicated control box and touch-screen PC running inspection manager.

VIBRATORY CONVEYER WITH MONOBEAM CONSTRUCTION

Key Technology re-engineered the Iso-Flo conveyor with monobeam construction, which features an innovative frame made of a single structural member. The monobeam conveyor’s frame and spring arms can be tucked completely under the conveyor bed. The narrow frame offers less than half the surface area of other Iso-Flo frames, fewer parts to clean and better access to the conveyor bed. The monobeam architecture can be used on distribution shakers with side discharges as well as transfer, collection, feed and inspection shakers. And, the monobeam frame is sloped to prevent product and moisture buildup.

RADIOMETRIC CAMERA WITH COOLED DETECTOR
InfraTec celebrated its 25^th anniversary with the introduction of its new ImageIR 10300, what is said to be the world’s first radiometric camera with a cooled detector of IR pixels for food safety. This model features a smaller SXGA detector, an InSb-Focal-Plane-Array and excellent temperature resolution, making it suitable for the most demanding measurement and inspection tasks. The 10 GigE interface transfers data to a computer 10 times faster than with a conventional GigE interface, and achieves a full-frame transfer rate of up to 100 Hz. Applications range from active thermography and micro-thermal imaging to aerial thermography and site surveillance, and can be integrated as components in turnkey automation solutions.

UPDATED TOW-DOWN X-RAY INSPECTION PLATFORM

Peco-InspX announced continued updates to its Allegro top-down x-ray inspection platform, allowing the machine to accommodate a wide variety of package types. Enhancements include a standard 17-inch touchscreen, which is said to be the largest touchscreen monitor in a class of top-down x-ray inspection machines, as well as an easy-to-use monitor that can be accessed even while wearing gloves. The Allegro also now comes with an optional IP69K-compliant cabinet and a fully sanitary conveyor made by Dorner Manufacturing. Additionally, the Allegro is available with a special low-temperature package that allows it to safely operate at temperatures below freezing. And, the beryllium window tube improves the detection performance of bone-in fresh or frozen meat product as well as stones in fresh or frozen vegetables.
