Old Church Creamery temporarily closed its creamery, and moved into a 3,200-square-foot space in Mechanicsville, Va.

The small micro-dairy already moved to a farm in the Shenandoah Valley near Harrisonburg, Va., and partnered with a Mennonite farmer, who will milk and care for Old Church Creamery’s Jersey herd.

The plant, which once was used as a cannery by Fearnow Brothers Cannery, Atlanta, is expected to produce yogurt, kefir and milk by early January 2017.
