1. GNP Co.: Gold’n Plump Shakers—11,887 votes.
GNP Co., Saint Cloud, Minn., expanded its Gold’n Plump brand to include new SHAKERS, made from 100% whole muscle boneless skinless chicken breast meat raised with no antibiotics–ever. Each kit features a packet of bold seasoned breading made with Panko breadcrumbs and ethnic flavors of Savory, Sweet Chili, Jamaican, Honey Barbeque or Chipotle Adobo. 2. Ready Pac Foods: Organic chopped salad kit—8,545 votes.
Ready Pac Foods, Irwindale, Calif., launched new organic chopped salad kits, said to be the first of its kind on the market. Available in Caesar, Zesty Greek, Kickin’ Southwest and Sweet Kale, the chef favorite salad lineup delivers a prepared mix of organic greens, vegetables, cheeses, nuts, seeds and dressings. 3. Men’s Health Magazine: Frozen ready meals—530 votes.
Ingredient supplier Kerry Foods, Ireland, teamed up with Men’s Health magazine to create a range of frozen ready meals under the Men’s Health brand. Launched in April and available in retailers nationwide, this healthy, high-protein meal range is designed to appeal to fitness-orientated and nutritionally engaged men. 4. Land O’Frost: Deli Snackers—473 votes.
Land O’Frost, Inc., Munster, Ind., launched Deli Snackers, a baked, meat snack made from high-quality, oven roasted meats. This protein-rich snack offers more than 10 grams of protein and just 80 calories per 2-ounce serving. Deli Snackers come in Forest Ham, Hot & Smokey Ham, Vermont Maple Ham, Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken Breast, Sweet & Spicy Chicken Breast and Buffalo Chicken Breast, and are available at mass retailers and grocers nationwide. 5. Hostess Brands: Deep-fried Twinkies—354 votes.
Hostess Brands, LLC, Kansas City, Mo., rolled out frozen deep-fried Twinkies—funnel cake-battered sponge cake with a creamy filling. The pre-packed deep-fried Twinkies are dipped in funnel cake batter and flash fried before they’re frozen, and come in Classic and Chocolate varieties, which can be heated up in a toaster oven or regular oven in just minutes.
