IFSH introduces food processing center, with focus on HPP
The HPP Center of Excellence makes available new resources that educate, elevate and communicate the best practices for the global food manufacturing industry.
The Illinois Institute of Technology’s Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH), Chicago, in collaboration with ConnectFood.com, a Chicago-based food safety software-as-a-service provider, Chicagoland Food and Beverage Network and All Natural Freshness, a Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based provider of HPP technologies, introduced the Food Processing Center of Excellence with a focus on high-pressure processing (HPP) technology.
“Starting in Chicago makes all the sense in the world due to its high concentration of manufacturers and food industry suppliers from packaging to equipment,” says Alan Reed, president of Chicagoland Food, Chicago.
