Tovala Chicago, introduced Scan The Store, which uses Tovala’s smart technology Tovala IQ to allow consumers to cook frozen foods just by scanning their barcodes.

How it works is, Tovala users scan the barcode on any compatible store-bought food's packaging. Then, the Tovala Oven automatically pulls the perfect sequence of cooking modes (steam, bake and broil), temperatures and time from the cloud. Each barcode is associated with cooking instructions already perfected by Tovala chefs. Cooking ends with the Tovala's automatic shutoff.
