The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) has partnered with Manni Group, YAC with the Patronage of SACE, and Fondazione Promozione Acciaio to launch the third edition of the Manni Group Design Award. This year’s competition looks at the development of the cold chain in Africa, specifically the design of the Ghana Food Innovation Center.
With the final FSMA IA rule in effect for small businesses since July and large businesses a year before that, coupled with changes to the food supply chain in response to the pandemic, risk assessment and mitigation should be a priority now more than ever. For the refrigeration and frozen food industry specifically, changes have also evolved with the implementation of the Sanitary Transportation rule.
The Controlled Environment Building Association (CEBA), a Core Partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), announced Primus Builders as the recipient of the 2020 CEBA Built by the Best Award for their project with Americold Logistics in Savannah, Georgia. The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) named Matthew Ott, CAE, the organization’s new President & CEO. Ott will assume his new role on June 1st and succeeds outgoing President & CEO, Corey Rosenbusch who left the Association earlier this year to take the helm as President & CEO of The Fertilizer Institute.
