For cold and frozen storage professionals, one solution to a need for additional capacity might be the racking and storage systems currently in place. Increasing storage density may be achieved in several ways, depending on the age of the facility.

The project allows the company to extend its operations on the East Coast, continuing to provide high-quality custom-ripened avocados to restaurants, food distributors and grocery stores. 

The expansion will transform the current Hobart site with the addition of a fully automated warehouse spanning more than 188,000 square feet.

The facility, to be leased exclusively by FreezPak Logistics, spans over 20 acres, offering 53,000 new pallet positions. 

FCL Builders broke ground on 33,000-square-foot addition that, when complete, will make the facility one of the largest distribution centers in Dot’s supply chain.

Located on 70 acres, the facility offers flexibility and scalability to accommodate G&C's future growth trajectory.
