Harvesting over 1,600 pounds of fresh herbs and salad mixes since August, the latest Square Roots farm celebrated a ribbon cutting on October 28. 

This action furthers the company’s goal of powering 100% of its operations with renewable electricity by 2030. 

This is in addition to the acquisition of the MOM Group, makers of GoGo squeeZ fruit pouches based in Toronto, the acquisition of All In Foods, and the launch of Nurishh and Boursin Dairy-Free products in Canada.

Kerry's Rome, Georgia facility was recently honored by R&FF's sister publication, Food Engineering.

The partnership builds on the long-standing efforts of the company to reduce food loss and waste throughout its operations while continuing its globally recognized work in sustainability. 

The estimator allows consumers and manufacturers to quantify and understand the financial and environmental impact of reducing food waste either in the food chain or in the home.  

The milestone comes just six months since Do Good Chicken’s spring 2022 retail launch and equates to saving surplus grocery food weighing approximately three times the weight of the Statue of Liberty.

Through this program, Organic Valley will include direct farmer payments for carbon reduction and removal, as well as cost-share for design and implementation of climate-smart agriculture practices.
